Cynthia Sparks shares responsibility with David Dewey for portfolio management and due diligence for mezzanine, preferred equity and direct equity investments on behalf of the Funds.  Cynthia joined NBS Real Estate Capital from PacifiCap Properties Group, where she was a Vice President of Asset Management, responsible for a portfolio of 38 multi-family properties in seven states.  Ms. Sparks supervised PacifiCap’s in-house management company, which provided property management and tax credit compliance oversight for over 6,200 units.  Her responsibilities included investor relations and reporting, as well as overall responsibility of both the operational and financial performance of more than $500 million in assets.

Prior to joining PacifiCap, Ms. Sparks was a Director of Asset Management for LNR Affordable Housing, overseeing the asset management group with responsibility for the performance of a national portfolio of assets, as well as investor relations and reporting.

Cynthia Sparks received a dual bachelor’s degree with honors in Finance and Human Resource Management from Portland State University.  A Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Cynthia is an active member of the Institute for Real Estate Management (IREM), the Commercial Association of Realtors (CAR), the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women (NNCREW).  In her spare time, she volunteers with Morrison Child and Family Services.
